The Black Tie Tailgate Auto Show Preview Gala began in the late 1980s as a relatively small annual party. It has developed into the largest fundraising event for the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation. Recently, over 3,000 guests stroll through the 550,000 square foot showroom before the auto show opens to the public the following morning. Attendees enjoy an open bar, culinary creations from local Starr restaurants and dancing among some of the world's finest automobiles.
With the generous support of the attendees, several automobile manufacturers and various vendors who supply goods and services to new car dealerships, the proceeds of the event have grown each year. This backing helps the Foundation to make annual contributions to The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia . The 2011 gala will benefit the Center for Autism Research at the Hospital and is scheduled for Friday, January 28th. Click here to vist the Black Tie Tailgate site.
