PAA Foundation

In early 2007, our Foundation entered into a Fund Management Agreement with Pennsylvania Automotive Association Foundation (PAAF). The Dealer Members of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) are also members of the Pennsylvania Automotive Association. PAAF was founded in 2002 and shares similar goals with our Foundation. Consequently, our Board of Trustees easily decided to join forces with PAAF. The financial arrangement allows our Foundation to distribute grants in the Philadelphia area through PAAF. To date, grants have been made to the following non-profit organizations:

Strive To Drive game

EconomicsPennsylvania - The mission of EconomicsPennsylvania is to promote and encourage understanding of economic concepts through education. Our Foundation has sponsored the Strive to Drive game with grants totaling $71,000 since 2005. This is a valuable tool for middle and high school teachers to make students aware of the economic responsibilities involved in owning a car. Strive to Drive is correlated to the Pennsylvania State Standards and endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Ronald McDonald House Charities – This organization provides a home away from home for families of critically ill children who are being treated in Philadelphia’s hospitals. While our Foundation and ADAGP have supported Ronald McDonald House in the past, we are very proud of our recent contribution of a Chevrolet Uplander that was specialized to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs. The vehicle is used to provide complimentary shuttle service for guests of the House at Front and Erie Streets in Philadelphia. A volunteer driver takes guests to local hospitals, airport, train station, grocery stores and other appropriate destinations.
