The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation began as a community service effort by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP). The original goal was to focus on improving the lives and welfare of children in the Delaware Valley. Along with providing financial support to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Auto Dealers CARing For Kids contributed funding to worthwhile child-related programs and causes throughout the five-county Philadelphia Area. Early in 2003, the ADAGP Board of Directors voted to formalize its charitable efforts and established the Auto Dealers CARing For Kids Foundation, a public charity earning the Internal Revenue’s 501(c)(3) status. Since its incorporation, our Foundation has made more than $2.4 million in contributions to CHOP and several other children’s charities.
The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation intends to further the charitable and educational mission of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia and its Dealer Members. The Foundation was established to make grants to charitable, Code Section 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that conduct programs and provide services to benefit the children of the Delaware Valley. After a two year strategic planning process, in late 2007, our Foundation selected two organizations to build signature, pilot programs for our group. These programs are Kid Fit’s Road to Fitness and Operation Warm’s Driving Away the Cold. Please see the Recipients section of this site for more information about these valuable programs.
