Black Tie Tailgate
Since its start in the late 1980s, the Black Tie Tailgate has developed into the largest fundraising event for the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation. This black tie event takes place annually in the Philadelphia Auto Show the night before it opens its doors to the public.
The 2017 Black Tie Tailgate was Friday, January 27 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Foundation hosted 4,500 guests strolling through the area’s largest and most elegant automotive showroom. Attendees enjoyed an open bar and top-notch culinary creations while dancing among some of the world’s finest automobiles. The event will raise more than $500,000 for the Division of Neurology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, bringing the two-year total to over $1 million to this Division!
With the generous support of the attendees, several automobile manufacturers and various vendors who supply goods and services to new car dealerships, the proceeds of the event have grown each year. This backing helps the Foundation to make annual contributions to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The proceeds of the 2014 and 2015 galas combined totaled over $900,00 and were given to the Division of Neonatology at the Hospital.
